California Hybrids has a breeding program with over 20 years of accumulated germplasm and some of the most vibrant hybrids in the industry.

We manage our own production through select international vendors and not only carry a large stock of seed, but a pipeline of emerging varieties that are bound to broaden the scope of your consumer offering. We develop new ranges of genotypes for adaptation to organic or non-organic agricultural systems within various zone/regions of production. In short, our expertise is global.

Beginning an in-house breeding program is a daunting challenge. We present a solution. We have a large germplasm base of useful parental inbred lines from breeding these types of tomatoes and peppers for two decades. We also have a wealth of data that assists our hybrid feasibility studies.

We have embarked upon discovering varieties and genetic combinations that work for growers from a commercial perspective. Our considerable genetic power allows us to stay ahead of competition by making it extremely difficult for anyone to duplicate our proprietary varieties.
